Lifesaving Society Canada is pleased to announce the following Officials appointments for the 2018 Canadian Lifesaving Sport Championships – additional calls for Officials are being conducted through each host.  Information on each championship can be found on the Lifesaving Society Canada’s webpage at:
2018 Canadian Lifeguard Emergency Response Championships
Hosted by the Lifesaving Society Ontario Branch in Milton, Ontario at the Milton Sports Centre from May 5-6.

CANADIAN SURF LIFESAVING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2018

The Lifesaving Society is now ready to receive applications for officials who wish to provide support during the 2018 Canadian Surf Lifesaving Championships, which will take place at the Centre touristique du Lac-Simon from August 24 to 26, 2018.
Application forms must be submitted by the person wishing to be considered for nomination for these Championships. If you wish to be considered, please fill out and submit the form by following this link.
The person who will be nominated will have to cover their own travel fees. The budget for lodging for these championships is limited. If possible, please make arrangements with friends or family. Officials and volunteers will be offered food and drink during the championship events. Officials are invited and welcome to the banquet which will happen during the award ceremony.
It is possible that there will be a small fee associated with these tickets. We thank you for your continued support of lifesaving sport.

Festival runs from 9th to 13th August 2017 at the King’s Park Swimming Complex, Durban, KwaZulu Natal.

Canada’s Delegation Team for the 2017 European Tour

The Lifesaving Society of Canada is pleased to announce the members of Canada’s Delegation Team for the 2017 Europe Tour, which will include the German Cup in Warendorf, Germany on November 24 – 25
and the Orange Cup in Eindhoven, the Netherlands on December 2 – 3. Canada is attending these championships for a third consecutive year and is using this tour to prepare its new and young athletes
for the 2018 World Lifesaving Championships
.
Canada’s athletes were selected based on performances at sanctioned events held from September 2, 2016 up to the 2017 Canadian Pool Lifesaving Championships held June 3 – 4. The team invitations were issued by the National Selection Committee following a call for applications from athletes across the country.

The Representative Team athletes formally invited are:

Canada’s National Team for the Royal Life Saving Society Festival of Lifesaving 2017

OTTAWA — July 7, 2017

The Lifesaving Society of Canada is pleased to announce the members of Canada’s National Team for the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) Festival of Lifesaving 2017. This event includes the traditional Commonwealth Lifesaving Championships plus a new individual skills Lifesaving Challenge. Canada’s athletes will compete in both elements. The festival aims to encourage participation in lifesaving development and runs from August 9-13, 2017 at the King’s Park Swimming Complex in Durban, South Africa.
