Cancellation of the 2021 Canadian Lifeguard Emergency Response Championships

The 2021 Canadian Lifeguard Emergency Response Championships (CLERC) that was rescheduled to November in New Brunswick has been cancelled.

The Lifesaving Society Canada decided to cancel the event due to the current restrictions across the country as result of COVID-19, the rescheduling of the 2021 CPLCs to November and the possibility that restrictions may still apply to CLERC athletes due to the close contact nature of the competition.  This decision was made out of concern for the health and safety of lifesaving athletes, officials, volunteers, partners and other delegates.

Further announcements will be made regarding the location and date of the 2022 Canadian Lifeguard Emergency Response Championships.
